Hello and welcome to my new and (hopefully) improved blog!

If you’ve come here via a redirect or link on my old blog, you’ll instantly notice some changes:

Bye-bye, Innocent Wind ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป
Hello there, Otome Labyrinth ๐Ÿ‘€

I want to reassure you that you can still find all of my existing walkthroughs and other content, they just exist within this new domain, with a new look. If you previously signed up to receive email updates from Innocent Wind, and still wish to receive similar updates, you’ll have to sign up again. You can find a “Follow blog by email” form in the sidebar. Thanks so much for your ongoing support โ™ก

…or new around here?

And if you’re new around these parts, hi! I’m so happy you’ve found your way here, and I hope I can help with whatever it is you’re looking for. You can find out more about me and my blog here.

A little more context (and ramblings)

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been busy migrating my (old) blog Innocent Wind over to a self-hosted WordPress solution, revamping the look and feel, and setting up a new domain. I wanted to breathe some new life into my blog ๐Ÿƒ Innocent Wind held sentimental value for me, but I felt a new name (and domain) was appropriate. I hope that Otome Labyrinth will allow me to reach a wider audience.

The main motivator for leaving behind WordPress.com was that I started to feel the limitations. In the 5ish years since I started my blog, I hadn’t changed the theme. It was a pain to do so, there were very few options and I had no access to the theme code. As a dev, that was frustrating, and I felt I could do better.

My stale theme and layout were also affecting how much I could be bothered to post. I always wanted to post more than just walkthroughs, but I lost motivation to even think about blog content because I couldn’t get it to look the way I envisioned. Eventually, I also started dragging my feet when it came to writing up guides. Now, part of that is because I don’t rush through games anymore. But even after completing games, and having walkthrough notes, I just didn’t feel like opening up my blog.

It took longer than anticipated, but Otome Labyrinth is finally up and running ๐Ÿ‡ It still needs tweaking, and I ask for your patience as I work through missing features, bugs, oddly formatted images and text, broken links and general weirdness. But I’m already feeling much better about this. And I hope you like the new look as well. As always: any questions or comments are welcome! Just leave a reply here, use the contact form, or find me on Twitter or Instagram.

Allow me again to welcome you to the Otome Labyrinth โ™ก
Don’t worry about getting lost, I’ll guide you through it and show you the route to handsome pixels โ˜†๏ฝž(‘โ–ฝ^ไบบ)
