I think there’s a mistake with the Parting Ways/first bad ending choice? I’m working through the good ending and I just got the bad ending after picking the “You’ve done nothing wrong” choice just after the first save.
I tried the other option just in case, and I still got the bad ending. So maybe it was one of the other choices??
Hi ☺️
Hmm, that is odd! It’s been a while since I played it, so I just double-checked now by re-starting Riku’s route (from the Archives, with a neutral affection meter so it matches the starting state of the route if you go straight from the common route). But when I go through all of the chapters selecting the options I listed to get the good ending, my game continues to the Color Ribbon chapter after selecting “You’ve done nothing wrong.” 🤔 (If I select “I’m so sorry to hear that.”, I get the first bad ending as expected.)
The easiest way I found to make sure you’re on the right track, is to pay attention the where the affection meter points after every choice. For each choice before that first save, it should point to the left, towards the red/orange-y circle. If it points to the right (towards a blue circle), it means you’re on your way to a bad end if I recall correctly.
Sorry that I can’t be of more help here, but following the choices I outlined in this guide, I can’t replicate the issue you’re seeing 😔
Oh, there is one other thing I can think of that could also sway your affection meter and put you on the wrong path (but it’s a bit of a stretch). If you jump chapters via the Archives option in the menu, when you’re in the middle of a route, the state of your affection meter carries over. But if you’re using save files and only accessing the Archives via the title screen (or starting a route from the common route), this shouldn’t be an issue really.
